Ashlee and Kelvin
We had the pleasure of designing flowers for Ashlee and Kelvin's big day!! Because of the part Mother Nature played, both the ceremony and reception we held indoors at The Westin, Bridgestreet. Thank goodness for the fabulous planning by Mi-amour Weddings, all of us vendors had a flawless transition from what we had planned on doing for the Snyder wedding, to "Plan B".
Hampton Cove Wedding Plantation Faux Wedding
A few months ago, we had the honor of being the only florist invited to participate in Hampton Cove Wedding Plantation's First Annual Faux Wedding. I can't tell you how excited we were to be given free reign over the flowers and decorations in one of our favorite venues!!

The lovely programs and food signage was designed and created by the super talented Jacki at
Salt +Paperie.
The bride carried a stunning cascade bouquet of cranberry hanging amaranthus, bittersweet berries, peach garden roses, black pearl oriental lilies, and tree ivy.
The bridal party were all beautifully dressed by the wonderful ladies at Modern Brides in Huntsville.
The girls at The Transformation could not have done a better job!!! They nailed the hair and make up on the ladies! Maybe its just me, but don't you think her eye shadow matches the the bittersweet in her bouquet? And those lips with these lilies!?! I just love how all the vendors can work together to make everything coordinate soooooo well!!
We decided to to something different with the dome since we had full creative license. We brought in a design that is balanced, but definitely not symmetrical. This gives it a little looser design, like you are standing in a garden instead of a perfectly staged wedding.
The dome was decorated with tree ivy, bittersweet, cranberry and green hanging amaranths, peach garden roses, and black pearl lilies.
Of course, everybody already know that Steve brings the party to any sort of a reception you might be having! Metro DJ is one of my favorite recommendations to give out. You really can't go wrong with this guy!!
For the reception, we decided to give the room 2 looks. On one side we created really bright and colorful arrangements. All were in cute gold ceramic containers with mirrors and a mix of silver and gold mercury glass votive cups. The flowers we used to create this look was astilbe, zennias, anemone, poppies, pink snowberry, roses, spray roses, ane nerine lilies
The center of the room was laid out with any type of food you could possibly hope for at a wedding! The first set of food was catered by Margaret, owner of The Chef Next Door. I can't even describe how great her food was that day (and EVERY time I've ever had it)!!
Next, was Sweet Thing with the lovely bride's cake!
Nothing Bunt Cakes with the groom's cake
Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza is a traveling pizza oven that cooks right at your reception!! How cool is that?!?!
Piper & Leaf... oh how I love thee...
